What can the Bond Guarantee Scheme offer?
  • The bond guarantee replaces the traditional cash deposit requested by landlords at the start of a tenancy.
  • SmartMove may provide a bond up to the value of £300 to cover any damage or theft at the property.
  • At the start of the tenancy we inspect the property.
  • We ensure current Gas Safety Certificates are provided by landlords where relevant.
  • We undertake an inventory which is agreed upon by landlord and tenant.
  • We can provide a standard Assured Shorthold Tenancy Agreement, but will work with one provided by a landlord.
  • We will assist with Housing Benefit claims.
  • We will liaise with tenant and landlord if any problems arise.

Who can access the scheme?

  • Tenants who are trying to access private rented accommodation and require a bond.
  • People who are classed as low earners or who are in receipt of benefits.
  • Please note clients must be aged 18 or over
